Riley James
I’m a multimedia creative who is passionate about sustainability, travel, and animal welfare. My interest in photography began with a Minolta film camera and developing my film in the local darkroom in high school. My love for nature, live music, and forming connections with a variety of people has pushed me to create visual stories to spread awareness of climate change, events rooted in community, and social justice issues. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2019 with an MA in Journalism and a BA in Anthropology.
Although I feel most at home in the southwestern desert of the United States, I have spent months driving across the US to witness the dynamic landscapes and wildlife home to this country. Being surrounded by the uniqueness of our planet has resulted in living sustainably and creating art about unique places and experiences.
I’m based in Chicago, but I am always willing to travel for work.
